Are you ready to play a pivotal role in promoting Danish renewable solutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland? The Embassy of Denmark in London is seeking a Business Adviser to join our dynamic energy team. This is your chance to make a significant impact for the green transition in the UK and Irish markets.

 

Your Mission: As a Renewables Business Adviser, your primary responsibility is to advise and assist Danish companies within renewables, wind and energy efficiency in developing market and sales opportunities in the UK and Ireland. By creating value through consulting services, you will work towards creating the ideal conditions for Danish companies to establish or expand their presence in these markets. Our services encompass a wide range of support, including public affairs guidance, regulatory access, market analyses, partner searches, organizing roadshows, and setting up Danish pavilions at trade shows, all designed to enhance Danish companies' sales and marketing activities.

 

What We Expect from You:
Qualifications: You should hold a bachelor's or master's degree or possess equivalent professional experience.
Experience: Work experience in business development, consulting, and/or project management in the renewables sector. Familiarity with Danish solution providers is a plus.
Commercial Acumen: You should have a strong ability to identify commercial opportunities and create relevant marketing activities.
Sales Skills: Proven experience in sales and a systematic approach to customer relations, ensuring significant value creation and customer satisfaction.
Team Player: You are proactive, a team player, and an effective networker who readily supports colleagues and goes the extra mile to ensure project success.
Public Sector Insight: Understanding of public sector dynamics.
Language Skills: Fluency in English, with knowledge of Danish being advantageous but not required.

Terms: In your daily work, you will report to the Regional Director of the Trade Council and follow the energy team lead. Travel within the UK, Ireland, and Denmark is expected in order to engage with clients and stakeholders. We measure success through shared regional team KPIs, focusing on value creation and activity hours. Please note that employment with the embassy requires security clearance by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service. 

 

Compensation: The salary, before tax, NIC deduction, and employee pension contribution, falls within the range of £51,000 to £60,000 per year, depending on qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related track record.
