Are you ready to play a pivotal role for the Danish Defence industry in the United Kingdom and Ireland in a new geopolitical reality? The Embassy of Denmark in London is seeking a Business Adviser to join our dynamic Tech and Defence team. This is your chance to make a significant impact for the modernisation and digital transformation of the British armed forces.

Your MissionAs a Defence Industry Adviser, your primary responsibility is to advise and assist Danish companies in developing sales and partner opportunities with the Ministry of Defence and British industry Primes. By creating value through consulting services, you will work towards creating the ideal conditions for Danish companies to establish or expand their presence in this market. Our services encompass a wide range of support, including public affairs support, access to authorities and stakeholders, market analyses, and organizing joint promotions and delegation visits in both directions, all designed to enhance Danish companies' exposure towards British Primes.

You will work with key stakeholders to promote digital solutions, defence technologies, and drive our Defence Industry Forum. Focus is on innovative technology, building of capabilities and Industrial Cooperation Contracts. 

What We Expect from You:

Qualifications: You should hold a bachelor's or master's degree or possess equivalent professional experience.
Experience: Work experience in business development, consulting, and/or project management in the defence or tech sector. Familiarity with Danish solution providers is a plus.
Commercial Acumen: You should have a strong ability to identify commercial opportunities and create relevant marketing activities.
Sales Skills: Proven experience in sales and a systematic approach to customer relations, ensuring significant value creation and customer satisfaction.
Team Player: You are proactive, a team player, and an effective networker who readily supports colleagues and goes the extra mile to ensure project success.
Public Sector Insight: Understanding of public sector dynamics.
Language Skills: Fluent in English, with knowledge of Danish being advantageous but not required.

TermsIn your daily work, you will report to the Regional Director for the Trade Council UK & Ireland and follow the Tech and Defence team lead. Travel within the UK, Ireland, and Denmark is expected in order to engage with clients, partners and stakeholders. We measure success through shared regional team KPIs, focusing on value creation and activity hours. Please note that employment with the embassy requires security clearance by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service. 

The salary, before tax and NIC deduction, falls within the range of £51,000 to £60,000 per year, depending on qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.
