Quantum technology opportunities

Denmark is one of the strongest hubs for quantum research in the world. There is a good reason for that: In 1922, the Danish physicist Niels Bohr won the Nobel Prize for his services in the investigation of the structure of atoms and of the radiation emanating from them. In that way, he was laying the foundation for a long Danish tradition of research into quantum mechanics.

In 2024 the UK and Denmark agreed on a new quantum partnership, which aims to strengthen quantum collaboration within both research and commercial areas. You can read more about the partnership, here.

The trade council facilitates several significant activities throughout the year related to quantum, promoting danish commercial and research interests. We have  participated in quantum.tech and Commercializing Quantum by The Economist, and continuously work with danish quantum companies and organisations in establishing network and business in the UK.

Past participants to name a few, include: Cryptomathic, KPMG Denmark, Sparrow Quantum Aps, QDevil, DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Molecular Quantum Solutions, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen and Trifork
