Five Danish companies with expertise in facades present solutions, which can enhance creativity in building architecture. Specializing in respectively coating, perforation and roll forming, the companies’ products make it possible to create unique constructions for leading architecture. The companies are: A/S HAI Horsens, RMIG, Sjølund A/S, Dan-Color a/s and Royal Termo Træ ApS. The event is organised in collaboration with RIBA and sponsored by the Danish Trade Council.

Turning project managers into business managers through ICT

AutoPilot’s software is the de facto project management industry standard in Denmark for architects and consulting engineers, being used by more than 50% of Danish Architects. An independent survey has shown that Danish Architects using AutoPilot are 40% more profitable than their peers. AutoPilot is considering a UK entry and to that end invites up to 20 British architects and consulting engineers for an exchange of views and information on current project management practices in the UK and feedback on the AutoPilot concept in a UK setting. Henrik Lund-Larsen and Dr Rod Hackney look at Jacobsen’s legacy. Teva Hesse from CF Møller, a Danish practice which currently works in the United Kingdom, talks about the inspiration from Arne Jacobsen and what architectural inspiration and know-how Denmark can contribute with in today’s Britain.

His design is still hugely popular and 14 Danish companies manufacture and export Arne Jacobsen’s design. Henrik Lund-Larsen talks about the unique quality of Arne Jacobsen’s non-architectural design.

Rune Veile from BCVA represents Denmark in British Council’s International Architecture Showcase – a project focusing on regeneration of the area around Ernö Goldfinger’s Balfron Tower. Rune Veile talks about BCVA’s recent projects in Denmark, Ørestaden 2.0 and Brøndby Strand.
