Apply for an EU registration certificate

A referendum was held in the United Kingdom on 23 June 2016 regarding whether the country should remain in the EU or leave. The majority voted to leave. The Embassy has been receiving many questions from Danish citizens living in the UK on how the result of the referendum might affect them. What the UK leaving the EU will mean for EU citizens and companies will not be known until negotiations are concluded. The Embassy cannot therefore at this point in time say, if visas or work permits will be needed in the future to visit, study or work in the UK. Nor do we know under which conditions EU-citizens can stay permanently in the UK. However, the Embassy encourages Danish nationals to apply for an EU registration certificate which confirms their rights to live in the UK. Apply here.

The following page will be updated with the latest information about the status of European Union (EU) nationals in the UK as the EU negotiations progress: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/status-of-eu-nationals-in-the-uk-what-you-need-to-know
