You will need to book your appointment online to renew/apply for a new passport at the Danish Embassy.

When using the system for the first time you will need to create a new user account via the link in the square, before you can make a booking. Once you have set up the account and made the appointment, you can go back and reschedule or cancel the appointment.  When you have booked the appointment a confirmation email will be sent to your email address (it will not be shown on the screen at the end of the booking).  Appointments can be booked up to three weeks in advance.

  • Please note that payment is by card only.The cost of a new passport, a passport renewal or extension or a provisional passport is £121.
  • If you have changed your name since your last passport, please bring relevant documentation. If you have a CPR number, you must also contact the municipality where you last lived in Denmark to update your name in the CPR register.The name in your passport must match the name in the CPR register.

If you are unable to come to the Embassy for your appointment, please make sure that you cancel it so that it can benefit another applicant.

Please note that the Embassy’s resources are under pressure. Hence, at peak periods you may experience long waiting times for appointments. It is sometimes possible to find an earlier appointment by checking the appointment system daily, as cancellations do occur.

If you experience technical problems when trying to book a passport appointment (please also see the first paragraph above), these can sometimes be resolved by changing Internet browser. If this does not solve your problem please contact the Embassy's Reception on 0207 333 0200 Monday - Friday between 9.00-12.00 and 13.00 - 16.00, choose the option "contact the Embassy's Reception". 

All Danish Consulates in the UK accept passport applications for children under 12.

Collection of passports

Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10.00 - 12.00, Thursday 13.00 - 15.00.  No appointment is necessary. Your passport must be collected within 60 days from the date when you are notified by the Embassy that it is ready for collection. Failure to collect your passport within this period may result in cancellation of the document.

If you prefer to have your new passport sent to you by Special Delivery, there will be an additional fee of £6.50 to cover postage.

Please note that if you apply for a passport in Denmark or any Danish mission abroad and you wish to collect it from this Embassy or any Danish Consulate or Vice-Consulate in the UK there will be a charge of £24.00.

Emergency Passports

If you require an emergency passport at the same time because your existing passport has been lost, stolen or damaged and you are travelling before you receive your new passport, please call the Embassy's Reception for an appointment on 0207 333 0200 Monday - Friday between 9.00 -12.00 and 13.00 - 16.00, choose  the option "contact the Embassy's Reception".

Passport Extensions

If you require an extension of an existing passport and are making an application for a new passport at the same time, you can book an appointment online (only one appointment per person is required).
