Digital Creative Advisor

The Trade Council (TC) is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and ambitious advisor to support Danish companies in their internationalization efforts within sound design and production, radio, music and podcasts.

The Danish government’s new strategy for Creative Digitalization 2021-2022 aims to develop the Trade Council’s advisory support in order to increase the competitiveness and profitability of Danish companies within the sound industry. The position is part of a united digitalization effort from The Trade Council where you will be part of not only your local team but also a newly started global team of regional digital creative advisors in Shanghai and New York.

The creative advisor is part of the Danish government’s strategy to support knowledge sharing and network in respectively London, Shanghai and New York to help Danish SME’s and startups. The main goal is to strengthen the internalization of the creative industries and pave the way for the export of Danish creative solutions within sound. The digital creative advisor will also get the opportunity to develop strategies and business in collaboration with both small and large firms. Further, the job will expand your network and your relations within a broad range of Danish businesses and European partners.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in business administration and/or other commercially oriented or relevant graduate degree.
  • Experience with UK trade within music, podcasts and radio.
  • Strong ability to identify commercial opportunities.
  • A considerable network within the industries of sound, music and broadcasting
  • Documented sense of digital communication
  • Experience with sales and used to working systematically with customer relations ensuring decisive value creation and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to forge tight relations and trust in regards to sales and advisory tasks
  • You are proactive, resourceful and a strong networker. You are always willing to lend an extra hand to colleagues and put an extra effort to ensure a project’s success.
  • You are a team-player who values a good working environment with a strong focus on cooperation.
  • Understanding of public sector dynamics.
  • Fluency in English. Danish is not a requirement.

  • A teamplayer with a focus on creating results together with colleagues across sector teams primarily in the UK, but also Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and BENELUX

You will be hired at The Trade Council in London and be part of the embassy staff of 45 employees. In your daily work, you will report to the Head of the Trade Council in London. You will also work closely with The Trade Council’s commercial employees in the UK and Ireland, who collectively cover the following sectors: food; creative industries; machinery and sub-contractors; energy, environment and water, health; and tech/digitization.
 
Terms:

The Trade Council performs export advisory against payment, and has a number of shared KPI’s, including value creation and activity hours. You will be employed as a local employee at the embassy on a 2-year period with an extension option. Salary according to qualifications and after individual agreement. You will be part of a flexible Danish work environment where work life balance is key with 37 hour work week and 5 weeks vacation .
 
Expected start:

January 1st, 2021, or soon thereafter. Employment requires security clearance from Danish authorities.
