The neo-gothic architecture of St. Katharine’s Church, next to Regent’s Park, will form the evocative settings of this performance, which will make use of the church’s aisle so that the audience will get a close-up experience of the dancers.

The Peter Schaufuss Ballet was established in 1997 by the Danish dancer, choreographer and artistic director Peter Shaufuss (born 1949). The premiere performance was ‘The Tchaikovsky Trilogy: SWAN LAKE, SLEEPING BEAUTY & NUTCRACKER’ which toured in Denmark and in Paris, Edinburgh and Spain among other places.

Since then the Peter Schaufuss Ballet toured extensively both in Denmark and abroad.

The Peter Schaufuss Ballet will be performing ‘Hamlet’ Friday 2. November 2012 at 7.30 in the Danish Church.
Tickets are £20 and can be booked here.

Hamlet’s part will be performed by dancer Johan Christensen, the music will be by Rued Langgaard and the monologues will be by Sir John Gielgud.
