“Invest in Denmark” is looking for a Business Advisor. Your role is to promote and facilitate foreign direct investments into Denmark by developing tailor-made solutions for UK and Irish companies looking to set up or expand business or research activities in Denmark.

Denmark ranks no. 1 on ‘ease of doing business’ and is the most digital economy and society in the EU – offering international companies both unique framework conditions as well as attractive business and research opportunities within Life Sciences, Tech and Cleantech.


As a member of the European team of Invest in Denmark, you will work with 7 experienced colleagues based in Germany, France, Norway and Spain. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Europe, you will be based at the Danish Embassy in London together with another colleague.


Job description

Your role as Business Advisor is to identify, contact and build a network in large companies primarily within Tech, Life Sciences and Cleantech. Your goal is to convince UK and Irish companies to select Denmark as a location for their future activities.

You will collaborate with colleagues from the European team and receive extensive support from the organisation in Denmark.


Required qualifications

  • An MSc in business, economics or relevant STEM degree
  • International sales, consulting or business development experience
  • In-depth understanding of corporate strategy, innovation trends and new technologies
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Danish would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite

Desired qualifications

  • A broad professional network at upper management level
  • Experience from a knowledge intensive industry (Tech, Life Sciences or Cleantech)

Employment conditions

  • Full time employment as a local employee at the Embassy on a 2-year contract with an option to extend.
  • The standard work week at the Embassy is 37 hours. You will have a large degree of flexibility in organising your daily schedule.
  • You will be entitled to 5 weeks (25 working days) of paid holiday per year and 10-12 public holidays (depending on the calendar year).
  • Salary will depend on your qualifications and relevant work experience
  • Benefits include a workplace pension scheme.
