The Representation of the Faroes in London opened on 1 September 2002.

The Representation of the Faroes in London opened on 1 September 2002. 

The initiative to establish the Representation was taken by the Government of the Faroes, in close collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Formally, the Faroese Representation has been established as a section at the Embassy of Denmark in London.

The Faroes and the United Kingdom are close neighbours with a common maritime boundary and enjoy excellent relations in many areas. The aim of the new Representation of Faroes is to contribute to the further development of these relations in both existing and new areas of mutual interest.
