Participating in and reporting on Foreign Policy is a key objective of the Embassy of Denmark in London. The Political Section is working with partners in the UK to promote cooperation and common understanding in questions related to Foreign Policy and the World.
We seek to present and explain the position the Danish Government takes on key foreign policy issues such as NATO and global security, counter-terrorism, Globalisation, cooperation in international organizations, nation building, the fight against poverty, Human Rights and many other topics.
Furthermore, we work with colleagues in Whitehall in order to promote cooperation and understanding of the two countries’ European policies on issues such as the EU budget, the future of Europe, Enlargement and the many sector policies of the Union. Researchers, think tanks and other partners in the British Society constitutes an equally important part of our network in the UK.
The Political Section also monitors domestic policy issues and the general political debate in the UK.
