The Passports and Visa Office at the Embassy is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 14.00-15.00.
Please note that the Passports and Visa Office cannot answer general questions regarding visas for Denmark. If you have a visa enquiry, please call the VFS visa helpline: (0)87 1376 0023.

If you need a 'Civilstandsattest', the Danish Certificate of No Impediment, please contact the municipality where you were last resident. Danes in the UK cannot obtain a British Certificate of No Impediment, but must instead apply for a 'No Trace Letter'.

From 1 January 2007 it has become easier to have your documents legalised. On 1 January 2007 Denmark acceded to the Hague Apostille Convention of 5 October 1961. This means that it has become simpler for citizens and companies to have public documents legalised for use abroad. Please read more on the website of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
