Following the huge success of the Danish political drama 'Borgen' on BBC Four, the Danish Embassy in London has been asked a question about the office and residence of the Danish Prime Minister.
Christianborg. The Prime Minister’s office is located at Christiansborg (sometimes referred to as Borgen, ie ‘the Castle’) - the building that also houses the Danish Parliament, Folketinget. The Prime Minister sometimes uses the official residence Marienborg, located north of Copenhagen, for official events, visits and press meetings. Marienborg has some accommodation space, but it is not suited for longer stays. The present Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt lives at her private house in Copenhagen.
