Danish Embassy Art Prize - How to apply

The call for applications for the Danish Embassy Art Prize 2018 opens on 15 October 2017. The deadline for submissions is 15 December 2017.

Danish Embassy Art Prize is an annual event for Danish BA and MA students studying at or recently graduated from UK-based art programmes (up to 24 months following graduation).

The winner will have the unique possibility of exhibiting at the Danish Embassy in London for approximately one year from March 2018 – February 2019. In conjunction to this, a private reception will be organized. As part of the prize, the winner will receive £1000 to support the costs of the exhibition. 

The selection panel for this year’s prize include Marie Nipper, Artistic Director at Tate Liverpool, previously Chief Curator at AROS, Mads Damsbo, Founder and Lead Producer of Makropol and Co-founder of Recho, previously director at Brandts Art Museum in Denmark and Barry Phipps, Director of Visual Art at The Møller Centre and Fellow at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
 
All applications must include:

• Application form with proposed art work description, which you can download here.

• Images of selected artworks (max. 10 images). You can use Dropbox or Google Drive to share high resolution images.

• CV

Only wall mountable artwork will be taken into consideration, i.e. paintings, graphic arts, photography, or alternatively reliefs and wall sculptures.
