UK's biggest light festival is back in London. Bigger, brighter and bolder, the Lumiere London light festival returns to the capital for a second time. More than 50 artworks reimagine London’s architecture and streets, transforming the city into a giant open-air gallery and this year, two Danish light artists have their artwork featured in the illuminating festival.

Studio Roso is one the Danish artists who will exhibit their artwork 'Reflektor'. The artwork will span across St James’s Market. According to Studio Roso, Reflektor is a fusing of architecture, art and design. The artwork disturbs light with its fractured surface, casting intriguing patterns of light and shadow onto surrounding buildings and streets below.

The Wave by Danish the art group Vertigo will be exhibited on the Riverside Walkway. The Wave consists of forty triangular and glowing sound gates standing over three metres tall and creating a path over 80 metres long. The Wave will stand as a beacon of light along South Bank and audiences will co-create the experience as the gates respond to movements both sonically and visually, constantly changing across the four nights of the Lumiere Festival.

Lumiere London 2018 is free to visit and takes place both north and south of the river Thames.

Lumiere is organized by Artichoke.
