The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design (KADK) is targeting the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals for the next three years. Within a large individual margin, they educate designers that are in turn developing new products, solutions and strategies that support the UN's ambition of a healthier, greener and more equal world.

Curated among more than 300 graduate projects in 2017, KADK presents 25 newly graduates, showing creative and innovative solutions for a more sustainable world.

As a new and challenging exhibition window, the showcased products are exploring a wide range of material use and methods, everything from pig bones to wires. You can experience furniture inspired by folklore aesthetics of two different cultures, trying to bridge cultures through design. Ceramics produced with alternative crafting methods by combining clay and 3D printing. Clothing focusing on sustainability both in a material and aesthetic manner. Fish skin used as furniture-textile, and many more projects. All projects are rethinking design, aiming towards a future with more sustainable production processes and products changing people’s perspective of design. We believe design has the ability to make changes towards a better and more sustainable living.

Do you have a Danish event in the UK that you would like to list?
